Imagine unlimited access to learning no matter where you study. At ALLO, that’s a dream we can get behind, and it’s a vision ConnectED Nebraska turned into a reality for students worldwide. ConnectED Nebraska provides secure, instant, global roaming access for students, researchers, and staff from participating schools all over the world.
Here’s how it works:
Our home state of Nebraska was one of only two states chosen in the second-year pilot for eduroam for K-12. We worked with the State of Nebraska, University of Nebraska, and Lincoln Public Schools to kickstart a pilot program for ConnectED Nebraska. Our teams installed and facilitated ConnectED Nebraska Wi-Fi at ten non-profit organizations chosen for their student outreach efforts in low-income and disadvantaged communities.
Since beginning the pilot program in July 2021, more than 27,000 unique students from over 170 universities, colleges, and educational institutions have connected 290,0000+ times through our local ConnectED Nebraska network. Students from 29 states and 11 countries are accessing the educational tools they need through this system.
A safe and secure connection is essential whether you’re learning from home, studying abroad, interning across the country, or working in your hometown. At ALLO, we believe greater access will end the digital divide and expand our connections, growth, and success. We are proud to support ConnectED Nebraska and look forward to playing a role in developing this educational endeavor.
