What is Lifeline?

Lifeline is a federal program that helps ensure phone and internet service is more affordable for low-income households. Eligible consumers can get a monthly discount on phone OR internet service.

You must apply for Lifeline before you sign up for service with ALLO. You will need to recertify annually, and only one discount is allowed per household. Learn more about Lifeline.

What happened to ACP?

The Affordable Connectivity Program has ended. We understand how important this program was to many people, and we encourage you to reach out to your representatives and express the need for this program.

Elegibilidad de Lifeline

Although the future of the Affordable Connectivity Program is uncertain, you may be eligible for Lifeline. Eligible consumers can get up to $9.25 off the cost of internet. Alternately, eligible consumers may get up to $12.75 off the cost of phone or phone and internet.

Para calificar para el programa Lifeline, su hogar debe cumplir con uno de los siguientes requisitos:

  • Tiene un ingreso que es del 135% o menos del nivel de pobreza federal
  • Participa en ciertos programas de asistencia, como SNAP, Medicaid, Seguridad de Ingreso Suplementario (SSI), Asistencia Federal de Vivienda Pública (FPHA) y Pensión para Veteranos y Beneficios para Sobrevivientes.
  • Participa en programas específicos de tribus, como la Oficina de Asistencia General de Asuntos Indígenas, TANF tribal o el Programa de Distribución de Alimentos en Reservas Indígenas
